Update from PLL

Hi everyone,
A big THANK YOU to everyone who responded to the survey we sent last week! Your insights and comments are very helpful as we make plans to resume play in 2020.Some of you stated that you're ready to get the season started, while others indicated you do not want your child to play in 2020. If you have already registered your child and would like to unenroll and request a refund, please email [email protected] We will refund your registration fee via check (minus the $3 website processing fee, which is not kept by Portland Little League). If you would like to donate a portion or all of your registration fee to Portland Little League, please let us know when you request the refund

We also wanted to update you on our plans. Board members have met frequently this month, including last night, and as of right now we are targeting a July-August season for baseball and softball, though things could still happen over the coming weeks that could cause us to alter our plans. The board has not yet approved a start date for games or practices, but if/when that happens, we will communicate that information.

Right now, we are finalizing our COVID-19 safety guidelines, based on local, state and federal guidance, along with guidance from Little League International. We know some of you are waiting to see what rules will be in place before deciding whether or not to allow your child to play -- our COVID-19 safety guidelines will be emailed to you and posted to our website and social media when they are ready. As we have always said, the safety of our players and volunteers is our top concern, and we are working to ensure that we have rules in place to minimize the risk for everyone involved.
